antenna - loop multi-question

What is the best way to feed a 3.98 Mhz horizontal loop antenna? One article I read says feed with 52 ohm coax (RG-8). Others say use ladder line. With ladder line, would I need a balun? Calculate length for 3.98 and get 252.5 ft. I have room to double the size... iny advantage to doing that?

If you - or someone else - finally comes upon this...

Best article is The Loop Skywire, QST, Nov 1985.

I feed a 75m loop with ladder line to the basement window, then a 4:1 balun to a short coax jumper to the rig.

It's an easy antenna, and I really liked it.
