A 6:1 swr usually indicates a problem with the feed line. If you are using new coax then check the connectors for an open or short. Like most software for any type of antennas the designs are tried and true. The quad program is 20 years old and used hundreds of times. what are you using to measure the swr? Do you have an antenna analyzer or a vna that would help you trace the problem?
Thanks for the reply. I gave up for a while as I could't seem to get any help at the time, plus I got busy with other things. I was using an analyzer to get the numbers.
