I am the public affairs officer for the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, to which 1-12 Cavalry is a part. We are holding our color casing ceremony for our upcoming rotation to Korea on 6 June at 0830. The ceremony is at Cooper Field, in front of the 1st Cavalry Division Headquarters. We would love to invite all who are interested to attend the ceremony and give these Troopers a great send off.

1969 Co A 2nd Bn 12th Cav

Danbury, NH

50 years ago today was my last day in the field. Two Chi Coms landed about 5 to 10 ft from me. Both went off spraying me with shrapnel. Resulted in my 2nd and final ride on Dust Off.

On a more somber note, my squad leader SGT Kenneth Pavan and his RTO SP4 Donald Kelley were both KIA. May they rest in peace.
