sears ST/16 fuel problem

Hello.Bought a st16 a couple of months ago.When you
pour gas in tank the fuel leaks out through the carb.
Anybody knows what causes this? Looked in gas tank and
found sides of tank rusty.Float have a hole or maybe
rust blocking float valve?Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a bad float. Find a rebuild kit and another float.
