I own (I think it is any way) a 1972 SS15...

Hello good person
I own a Sears Tractor model number 917 25381. Does that translate into 1972 Suburban?? Plus I need a complete rearend/ tranny for it... Do you think there is one out there for me? Or is it going to be impossible to find one for a GOOD price??

I own the exact same model. It is a 1972. These transmissions hold up very well unless it was run out of oil.
The best place to find one will probably be on Ebay. There are some currently listed. Make sure where the hubs mount to the axle shafts that they it is identical to yours. Single keyway or splined. Good luck.
