Please talk to the teacher asap before this escalates. You can't help the situation much as you are not there. The teacher needs to intervene to sort it out. Ask for an appointment and ask what the school is doing to sort the situation out.
Sure, you can talk to your son about not always wanting to be first etc and the problems that might cause, but you can't manage his behaviour (or the behaviour of others) when you are not there to see what has happened or to sort it out. It is the teacher's job... please make sure the teacher does her/his job. Ask what strategies are being used to help ease this situation and ask how you can support the school 9it sounds good!!!)
