My 4 year old son cant seem to stop playing with himself, it is especially bad at daycare, when they have a 2 hour nap (which he dosent sleep) he disturbs the other children and some have started copying.
I have spoke to him about this and he says its because 'it bothers him when it sticks out'. I have told the teachers to try to distract him at daycare or make him go pee pee, but its hard to distract him when its 'nap time'. No matter what we say it still happens.
Any suggestions ?

I think its quite a common thing. Its something new he`s discovered but will soon get bored and find something else to occupy his mind.

I would of thought refraining from bringing it up in front of him would help. You could find the more you speak to him, the more curious he will become with it.

Certainly nothing to be embarrassed about.
