My son who is 22 months old refuses to use his words. His doctor says that his hearing is good and he understands very well. My problem is that he WHINES. and not like a normal kid. He whines when he's thirsty, hungry, sad, tired and often for no aparent reason at all. We tell him to use his words and he throws himself on the floor in a performance that could win him an oscar. I don't know what more we can do to get him to communicate but I am ready to pull out my hair :) please help
