Re: how does religion affect your parenting skills on ur kids
Hi,
Frankly I can't imagine raising my kids without God in our family. It's the hardest thing I've ever done in my life!
Children thrive on stability. Being part of a faith community has brought much security and stability into my children's lives. Despite two major geographical moves in three years, the kids feel very settled because we've settled into churches in both of our new towns. This provided instant friendships for both us and for our children.
I'm not sure what you mean by "extreme religious," but I hope you'll consider bringing some element of faith into your children's upbringing. It can't hurt (how can it hurt to know you're not only deeply loved by your parents, but by the God who knit you together?) For us, it's not about "religion" but rather about "relationship" - with others in our church family, and with our loving God.
