I went to a workshop of Dr. Aldort, author or Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves. It transformed our family life from caos to peace and joy. Her book is fabulous and her workshops are incredible.
Before the workshop and book, my chidlren were brats. One more than the other. Tantrums, aggression, mess... you name it.
I learned how to be with my children in a way that they want to do well of their own. They are the ones wanting to be good. I don't need to yell, punish or threaten at all. In fact I learned that all my methods of control actually caused the behaviors I tried to fix. Anyway, a positive experience indeed.
