I know exactly what you mean Martine. Especially from a chaps perspective.
One of my boys when he was a similar age went through a phase of wanting to dress like a girl and play with Barbies (like his triplet sister). I remember at the time getting all anal over this and wined on and on at my wife and sister-in-law for (as I saw it at the time) encoraging him.
He's seven now and as boyish as they come. He's even got a girlfriend (they hold hands, very cute)! If anything, he's the most well balanced now.
