Re: More help with teens

)Do you feel your teen respects your decisios? why or why not? ABOUT 75% OF THE TIME. THE COST OF NOT RESPECTING MY DECISIONS IS TOO GREAT MOST OF THE TIME...(DICIPLINE)

)Is your teens life more stressful then yours was at their age? NO

)Are there certain thing you "lay the law" down about their friends. and why? YES, NO FRIENDS THAT DO DRUGS, OR DRINK AS ENTERTAINMENT, NO FRIENDS THAT ARE INVOLVED IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, NO FRIENDS THAT ARE OUT ALL NIGHT WITHOUT ANY SUPERVISION AT ALL IE: PARENTS NEVER KNOW WHERE THEY ARE.

)What type of rule do you feel your kids want to break the most? why? ACCOMPISHING CHORES REGULARILY. THEY WOULD RATHER BE OUT SOCIALIZING.

)Is there any advive you would give to parents that are about to have their kids turn into teenagers? GIVE THEM GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARDS...TEENS DO NOT TALK OPENLY A LOT OF THE TIME, IF THEY ASK FOR A GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD THAT MEANS WE TALK OPENLY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED, WE DISCUSS THE REPROCUSSIONS OF WHAT WAS DONE OR SAID, FIGURE OUT THE LESSON, FIGURE OUT A SOLUTION IF NEED BE, AND SINCE THEY WERE OPEN AND HONEST, THERE IS NO FURTHER MENTION AND NO PUNISHMENT FOR THE "MISTAKE". KEEPS KIDS TALKING MORE. HAS WORKED FOR US FOR YEARS.

)what are the common difficulties you have with your kids? SOCIAL LIVES ARE WAY TOO IMPORTANT, THEY FORGET ABOUT FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES.
