Need Advice?

Hi, I'm doing a project for my psychology class. I would like to take a very difficult child-rearing scenario and apply possible solutions based on different psychologists.

So if you have one for me, feel free to post it here. I will check back for responses, and provide you with feedback after the paper is done.

Re: Need Advice?

A child whose parents are divorced (due to mother being battered by father) when he was two. Child is now about 3 years. Father doesn't want to visit the child nor does he wants to pay any child support. Mother is working and has her parents supporting her and the child. Mother lives in a society which doesn't understand the importance of raising such a child so as to break the battering cycle instead they consider divorce as a shame and failure. How do you think a child living in such a closed society is going to understand his mother's sacrifice of leaving his father and the fact that his father does love him and bla, bla, bla?
