Re: Cant get baby 8 months old to sleep through night

How often is she waking up? Have you determined what is causing her to wake up? Babies wake up for a number of reasons, so the most important thing is playing detective (usually through trial and error) to figure out what is causing the awakening. Is your baby waking up because she lost her pacifier? My son went through that a lot. When he was that age, I would put him to bed with one and then "sprinkle" his crib with about 3 or 4 more so if he lost the one in his mouth, he could just grab another one without me having to go in and rescue him :) I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

Re: Re: Cant get baby 8 months old to sleep through night

Hi,

My son did the same, he would wake several times in the night because he couldn't find his dummy. He's 2 1/2 now and still wakes in the night because he's cold or needs a drink, most of the time he sorts himself out and goes back to sleep but I still wake up! I think you just get used to waking up! Even when he doesn't wake up I still wake 2 or 3 times in the night and check him!

Good luck!
