The mother of my 7 year old daughter has tickets to take her to a Gwen Stefani concert at key Arena in Seattle. I think there is too much risk- people doing drugs, fights, gangs, etc.
She says it will be a good experience.
What do you think?

I can't say that I would be wild about it for all the reasons that you outlined and the bad language that you will expect to be hurled at the audience which won't be appropriate for a 7yo. They are not a kids band but I don't know what you can do except offer to take your son while your ex goes herself.
I would prefer my child to go and see Hilary Duff, Ashlee Simpson or Kylie Minogue.
7 is quite a young age but as long as there is competent adult supervision for your daughter I can't see a problem, but as i said make sure your daughter will be accompanied and supervised at all times! If your daughter loves Gwen Stefani enough to want to go to the concert then she will already be familiar with the music so her mother/you are probably already aware of any innapropriate lyrics etc. Ultimately of course its up to you but if you are sure your daughter will be well taken care of and looked out for it could be a lot of fun for her. good luck whatever you decide!
