I am having so many problems with my five year old. She always insists on doing the exact opposite of what i ask her. If she makes a mess I ask her to clean it up and she ignores me...I ask again and still nothing...the third time I raise my voice and then she does what i had asked her to do however she rolls her eyes at me and then huffs with a grunt. Where did she get this attitude???If anyone has any helpful tips i would really appreciate it.

my 6 year old is going through a cheeky phase where she answers back and rolls her eyes at me, but I am not letting her think she can get away with this behaviour. Try the time out method of putting her in a boring room for 5 minutes to think about her attitude and then seek an apology from her, no apology then she has another 5 mins to think about it, etc. Try the reward chart system with this too so that she realises that you notice when she is being really good too and there is an ultimate reward to aim for too. hope this helps
