still wearing a nappy

My daughter is five in a couple of weeks and still goes to bed wearing a nappy. She shows no signs of stopping wetting it or wanting to stop. We have encouraged her to go without but she just wakes up wet. Now we just accept that she needs a nappy and don't make a fuss about it but is this the best thing to do? I'm not a first time mum, I have four children and she is my third, is it to do with having a baby a year ago?

Re: still wearing a nappy

sometimes bedwetting is caused by an imbalance in the child or a particular hormone not working the way it should-it happens a lot in children and can be fixed with a nasal spray-perhaps you should take her to the doctor and discuss this. there could be a very simple solution!
good luck!

Re: Re: still wearing a nappy

have you tried letting her have a friend sleep over and tell her before hand that her friend wont expect her to be wearing a nappy or to wet the bed and might think shes a baby for doing so.
