I have a ss16 tractor and want to replace the oil in the transaxel. Under the hood is says to use 30# MS or MM. I have not been able to find it. What is the correct oil to install? 30# detergent or 30# non-detergent? or something else? The oil I drained out was a yellow color, let it set for several days- no water settled out.

All the manuals I've read say use 30 weight non detergent. I personally would feel comfortable using detergent oil if you can't find 30 wieght without. It's up to you.
