Re: MORE POWER!!

Get a bigger motor..My 1976 ST12 did the same thing...If the snow was perfectly dry i could blow like 2in or less, any kinda dampness to it, and it pulled ALL the motor had almost.. we got 8inches of snow and it took ALLLLL 12hp to blow it...

Re: Re: MORE POWER!!

You could try dropping in a Harley-Davidson XR750 engine and see if that helps matters any. I also once saw a Cub Cadet with a 350 Chevy in it heh heh heh...

Re: Re: Re: MORE POWER!!

AS NEAT AS THAT MIGHT BE I THINK I'LL KEEP IT HOW IT IS AND IF IT GETS ANY WORSE I'LL THINK ABOUT PUTTING A BIGGER ENGINE IN IT. THANKS!!

Re: Re: MORE POWER!!

IT IS WORKING BETTER THAN THAT BUT I FIGURED I WOULD SEE IF THERE WAS SOMETHING I COULD DO RATHER THAN PUTTING A BIGGER ENGINE IN IT. THE FIRST TIME I USED IT I HAD ABOUT A FOOT AND IT WORKED OK BUT IT DIDN'T BLOW IT VERY FAR. THE SECOND TIME THERE WAS ABOUT 8 INCHES AND IT WORKED BETTER. I THINK I'LL KEEP IT HOW IT IS AND IF IT GETS WORSE I'LL THINK ABOUT GETTING A BIGGER ENGINE. THANKS!!

Re: Re: Re: MORE POWER!!

hey friend, try mixing about 1 part nitro methayne "buy it where the R/C stuff is sold" to 3 parts regular gasoline, this should do the trick... and it won't harm the engine... as long as you dillute it some. Try this the next time you should see more horsepower immediatly.

Re: MORE POWER!!

Hi,

All posted before were good suggestions, especially the Harley motor. I guess if you already haven't done it the first thing I would check would be the carb, I know you said you had adjusted it but it might be internal. Also it would be a lot cheaper to do a tune up on the carb then an engine swap. Seems to be doing the same thing my buddies Sears was doing whenever it was under a load. It would idel and run fine but once it was under any sort of load it would bog down and die or act like it was starving for fuel. Tore the carb down and did a tune up on it and it runs like brand new and has no issues while under load now.

Hopefully that helps,

Jon
