I bought a vintage roper tractor it looks just like the anniversary edition in the picture .The thing that puzzles me is the numbers on the side it says its an 18t if i put the serial number on here would anyone be able to tell me the year and if its worth anything other than to use.I still cut my grass in the summer and now i have 3 feet of snow i blow my driveway with the snowblower.It works great but am i ruining something i should be holding onto. What does someone think this tractors worth? I have all origanal owners manuals aswell. i appreicaite all who reply THANK-YOU. (canada)

If its a roper and says 18T, it was made in 1978, 1979 or possibly early 1980..I say this because sears sold their models that where the same as yours in thos years..theirs no way to tell a year from the model or serial # on a roper...your best bet is to take the motor #'s and try to get a year...
