engine for Craftsman Riding Mower 917.254550

I'm trying to locate the Briggs and Stratton engine that came with this mower. Not having any luck.

The engine's Model# 281707 Type#0181-01

I saw a 281707 online but it had a different type#. Would it work? Or is there a replacement for this engine?

Could you give me some advice?
