I'm a producer working on a documentary series about the Pan American Highway for a major UK channel. I'm currently researching the United Fruit Company in Golfito, Costa Rica and looking for information on the 'Palo Seco', a boat used to transport bananas around the Pacific Coast from Punta Arenas - Golfito with an occasional trip to Puerto Armuellas in Panama. It was cited as 'the busiest launch in the Pacific'. I am having difficulty finding any literature on the internet about this particular vessel and hoped someone out there might be able to shed some light on this?
I look forward to hearing from you.
