My Grandfather was a Railcar Inspector in the 1930's and 40's.
My Grandfather was a Railcar Inspector for the United Fruit Company of New York in the 1930'3 and 40's. I am trying to gather any information on him and his job. His name was James Scrimenti. The family has no other information on his job, duties, uniform, pay, or if he had any special badges or tools. Any information I can get would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know more of my Grandfather. For the time that I knew him, he was retired and I was too young or selfabsorbed to care about what made him. I greatfully regret not being smart enough to talk to him about his life. Thank you.
