Gulf of Mexico shipping routes, early 20th century
I'm researching immigration to New Orleans by Central Americans during the early 20th century. Many accounts say individuals arrived on the fruit company ships. Does anyone know of a map showing the shipping routes and the ports for the United Fruit Company during the early 20th century?

Thanks for the forum post. If you go to www.worldcat.org and search for "United Fruit Fleet" you will get a long list of resources relevant to your topic that are available in libraries in the U.S. Also of particular use might be *The transportation system of the United Fruit Company* by Leona Frances Inglish. This was a MA thesis, I believe, done at the University of Chicago in the 1930s.
I hope you can keep us updated on your research. We are always happy to share original research with others.
