I am new to this forum and hoping you can help with my family history research. One of my ancestors CHARLES GRUMBRIDGE was noted to be a passenger on the following ships ANSELM (MAY 1900) and the ELLIS in Dec 1904 and Nov 1906 on ANSELM. I note these ships were part of United Fruit and my 2nd great grandfather (CHARLES GRUMBRIDGE) left London in around 1900 for South America. We have no record of him leaving leaving London but he travelled between Port Limon , Puerto Cortez , Guatamala , Honduras to New Orleans as I have found from passenger lists.
He was a civil engineer and I am presuming he may have worked on the railroad that was being built at the time. Are there any employee records or similar available ? Any information you can provide would be very helpful.
