My grandfather, Rosendo Lopez, was a lawyer for the United Fruit Co. Originally from Spain, he was hired by UFC and moved with his wife & children to Honduras. Because of the political uprisings in Central America, he moved his family to New Orleans in 1921, while he remained based in Honduras. This was between 1912 and 1949.
Can anyone help me find any inforation on him?
My grandfather Oscar Martinez Lopez was General Rosendo Lopez's son. He used to talk about the siblings he had in New Orleans. I believe he mentioned a lady by the name of Sissy, who was, I infer, Rosendo's wife. He would also mention a brother named Humberto, whose death in World War I greatly affected him. I'd be more than happy to correspond with you. This could turn out to be a great story :).
