Det tycks finnas en viss oenighet om hur Charismatic renewal i Katolska kyrkan började. En del vill göra gällande att det berodde på , "Second Vatican Council (1962-65), and Pope John XXlll's prayer that the Holy Spirit would renew the church as by a new Pentecost"
Andra åter påstår att det berodde på protestantiska karismatiker , "Others say that Pentecostalism was introduced to the Catholic Church initially by Protestant Pentecostals"
Nåja , man kanske ska se det som att "Pope John XXlll's prayer" faktiskt blev bönhörd genom att "Pentecostalism was introduced to the Catholic Church initially by Protestant Pentecostals"

Det finns två namn sammanhanget, "Ralph Keifer and Patrick Bourgeois, laymen and lecturers in theology at the Catholic University of Duquesne, Pittsburgh"
Dessa två ska ha blivit inspirerade av , "The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wilkerson; and They Speak With Other Tongues by journalist John Sherill"
Dessa två personer tog sedan kontakt med "a Protestant Pentecostal group". "There, at the beginning of 1967, they asked for the baptism of the Spirit, and, full of excitement, began to talk in tongues.
"Ralph Keifer and Patrick Bourgeois" tog sedan detta med sig till University of Duquesne och sedan var allt igång , väckelsen hade börjat

Wilkerson, for better or worse, was highly influential on a number of Catholics in the late ’60′s. “The Cross and the Switchblade” got passed around in Catholic young adult circles at Duquesne U. and
Notre Dame, and was a catalyst for these young adults to seek out a more emotionally intense expression of their Christianity.
This led them to getting “slain in the spirit” in Pentecostal circles, and they brought this experience into Catholic prayer circles at their respective universities, where the Catholic Charismatic movement took off.

Vad åstadkom ”den karismatiska väckelsen inom KK”, som aldrig dock medförde ett avståndstagande från förförelsen i katolicismen!? They received two books which greatly interested and spiritually stimulated them:
The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wilkerson; and They Speak With Other Tongues by journalist John Sherill.

Intressant är att notera vad R Saverino skriver om hur pass ivrigt och intensivt som Ralph Keifer and Patric Bourgeois höll på att läsa "The Cross and the Switchblade" by Pastor Wilkerson, and "They Speak with Other Tongues" by the journalist John Sherill.
Så, Ralph Keifer and Patric Bourgeois "realized they needed the kind of power that Wilkerson seemed to possess". Enligt detta så var verkligen "The Cross and the Switchblade" en stor inspirationskälla för "Ralph Keifer och Patric Bourgeois".
Och det verkar ju som att i slutänden så fick så småningom både "Ralph Keifer och Patric Bourgeois" del av samma kraft som David W såg ut att ha, och Pope John XXlll blev alltså bönhörd

Ett namn som folk gärna kunde "forska" lite på är John Sherrill som hjälpte David W med författande , denne John Sherrill har det visat sig så långt jag sett vara ett slags riktig "skummis".
Så jag anser att David W var verkligen inte så "andligt klarsynt" när han valde John Sherril som medförfattare till boken "The Cross and the Switchblade"
Jag anser numera pga allt som kommit fram om David W att han är mest att betrakta som en "kugge" i ett slags "maskineri" , en "länk i ett nätverk" som visar sig sträcka sig längre och längre ju mer man nystar upp tråden , en av trådarna anser jag att drar iväg ända till Rom
Jag tror dock att David W faktiskt var ärlig på det viset att han aldrig fattade vad han egentligen var
inblandad i för slags "nätverk" , men det fattade väl inte Kathryn K heller för den delen
Jag kan ju nämna att denne John Sherrill också kan kopplas samman med en Demos Shakarian
John och Elizabeth Sherrill skrev faktiskt en bok om Demos Shakarian och FGBMFI , dvs "Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International" Det blir för långt att gå in på denne Demos Shakarian dess
mera , men jag kan bara nämna att om man börja söka efter hans kopplingar och "nätverk" så blir man "förskräckt" Ett exempel

Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR), the largest Catholic renewal movement in the United States, was founded in February 1967 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
On February 17, two Duquesne theology professors, William G. Storey and Ralph W. Keifer, experienced baptism with the Holy Spirit as evidenced by speaking in tongues.
Their decision to embrace the Pentecostal experience was shaped by contacts with the Pentecostal movement and Presbyterian and Episcopalian charismatics, and by reading the New Testament Book of Acts, David Wilkerson's book The Cross and the Switchblade (1963), and John Sherrill's book They Speak with Other Tongues (1964).

Jag kan inte släppa tanken på att det i något skede redan i början av denna väckelse var något som gick riktigt ordentligt på snett , om det nu inte var så att hela grunden för denna väckelse egentligen är ett andligt "svartbygge" ??
Och i och för sig , David Wilkerson's bok "The Cross and the Switchblade" är redan faktiskt betraktad som en av orsakerna till "Catholic Charismatic Renewal". Men om man börjar med att ifrågasätta den andliga substansen bakom David Wilkerson's bok "The Cross and the Switchblade" så ligger man nog "risigt till".
Risken är nog då att folk börjar att "klättra på väggarna" av ilska!
Kopplar man dessutom ihop David W med andligheten hos Kathryn Kuhlman,så ska man nog akta sig väldigt noga.
Jag börjar bli ganska "härdad och luttrad" , men själva tanken på att det i något skede av "Catholic Charismatic Renewal" på grund av David W kan ha kommit in något av samma andlighet som också drev på Kathryn Kuhlmans verksamhet får mig att "må lite konstigt", till att uppleva att allt detta skulle vara bara ett "svartbygge".
Och att David W på sätt och vis är en av medhjälparna till detta bygge, hemska saker om mina misstankar stämmer !!!

Så då undrar jag i så fall hur Elvor och Janne ser på detta att det faktiskt anses att David Wilkerson's bok "The Cross and the Switchblade", är en av de böcker som nämns och anses vara upphov till när denna väckelse kommer på tal, och när det ska beskrivas hur denna väckelse uppkom ?
Hur mycket hänger egentligen denna falska väckelse ihop med den andlighet som David W och hans bok tillförde ?
Nu inställer sig frågan, eller rättare sagt det är ett påstående, är det inte så att detta “slain in the spirit” som de drog med sig in i Katolska kretsar egentligen är samma “slain in the spirit” som Kathryn K sysslade med i sina möten ?!

Den ande som drev David Wilkerson på något vis i bakgrunden när det gäller boken "The Cross and the Switchblade", tror jag är av samma slags andlighet, som finns i bakgrunden när det gäller boken "They Speak with Other Tongues"
Man borde kunna hitta spår av denna influens i texten i böckerna

Här kan man alltså finna att t.ex. Hal Lindsey, Chuck Colson, Jim Bakker, Billy Graham, Benny Hinn and Oral Roberts, haft ”spökskrivare” för sin verksamhet.
David Wilkerson phoned me to discuss his situation. "I am responsible for my book, The Cross and the Switchblade," insisted the Times Square pastor.
Wilkerson went on to say, "I did go to Sherrill's office almost every day for over a year to work on the book. Together we hammered it out. But he was not really a ghostwriter. I personally approved every word, every page."
Sherrill was also a paid writer on the staff of the late Norman Vincent Peale, a 33rd degree Mason. Peale was the guy who made a mint with his false teachings about "positive thinking."
The liberal Reverend Peale promoted spirit channeling and automatic writing. He encouraged communication with the dead. (For proof, see Wanda Marrs' book, New Age Lies to Women, and my book, New Age Cults and Religions.) I am not implying, of course, that Sherrill has such beliefs, but he was on Peale's staff.

There is a chapter in The Cross and the Switchblade in which Wilkerson tells a Catholic priest that the former drug addicts who received the baptism in the Holy Spirit had more power to live for God.
In the book he described what the Bible says in Acts about the Holy Spirit. My longtime friend Bert Ghezzi, who was among the first leaders in the Catholic charismatic movement, told me that reading those books certainly made the students (which included him) more open to the Spirit in those fateful days in early 1967.
That movement today is said to now include 120 million around the world.
