Re: new member

Hi Mick!

The tail wagging is a really good sign! I don't think it will be much longer before they start sharing a cage. Please keep us posted. Liz CCL

Re: new member

Tail wagging is like a male mating dance. Whats so good in a male chin getting frisky with a female who it hasnt been properly introduced to yet ?

Re: new member

Hi Mick, Further to your last posting..re: your female being a little aggressive towards the new male.Is probrably to her being pregnant,it makes them very techy more so when very advance i.e. nearing their gestation period. Their maternal protection increases to it's fuition, so my recommendation would be to postpone the 'Trans Intro' until the birthing has been reached even furthered until the kitten/s have reached a more mature age. Depending also on the behavioural female's pattern if accepting another partner. Continue to keep the new male at close proximity within a smelling area but not touching. I am afraid it may be a waiting time for a resolve, perhaps you could find out how advanced the pregnacy is, a visit to your vet could answer it. You can gentlt put your hand under the rear legs and possibly feel the kit/s, quite hard if advanced. Both sides if mutiple birth is forecasted, another visual indication general lethargy, favouring a lower part of the cage, drinking lots of water. Moving hay bedding about making a makeshift nest. Do ring any of the C.C.L. team members for aid. Best wishes, Roger, C.C.L.

drinking more than she use too

we are guessing about 50 days so not quiet half yet through pregnancy so got a long wait till we can put together
