Patent Slip Tavern Turkey Shore 1891 Llanbeblig

Hi Mr Hughes
Thank you for the answer on Evans Court i did visit the archives this month to see the pictures.
On coming back to Manchester i discovered on the 1891 Census an address of Patent Slip Tavern located between No 3 and No 5 Turkey Shore could you please enlighten me on where this location would have been please as i wont be able to travel to Caernarvon again until at least mid next year.
Many thanks again for your help

Re: Patent Slip Tavern Turkey Shore 1891 Llanbeblig

The answer to your question is simply that the buildings in Turkey Shore have long been demolished and a modern block of flats has been built on the site.

You will have noticed a public toilet at the rear of the Archives and were you to stand at the door of the Gents, the building is on your left and you cannot miss it.

However, I have a photo of the old tavern with the licensee Mr. Edward Noble standing in the doorway which I will send you separately.

Regards,

T. Meirion Hughes
