I am researching the Reda surname. From what I understand, they all came from around the Carolei area. I am interested in ANY information that you may have...
My family is from Domanico Cosenza and there are Redas who live there. I have visited and met a Mrs. Reda who worked for the tourist bureau in Cosenza.
She is now retired.
Domanico is very close to Carolei;

PS I think I am somehow related to the Redas too.
I have been trying to find family in Italy. My father was Louis Domanico & lived in Niagara Falls, NY. I know we have relatives who a Redas. Which Domanico's are you related to?
I saw some other Ragusa's with Reda's on the message board; however, it appears that one cannot just post to a reply on this board. I'm somewhat confused.
Anyway,
Hi Rita,
I have a Vincenzo Ragusa on my tree. He was born 09/04/1894. His name was changed to Jim Ross when he came to America. He married Rosaria Reda. Both were born in Carolei. When she passed away, he remarried someone with the last name Dolche. He died on 01/07/1985 in Mt. Vernon, PA. He had 2 kids, Joe and Rose. I'm not sure which one is the mother. Does any of this click with you?
