My son who is turning 3 soon has a security blanket "bankie". He sleeps with it at night (not while naping during the day), occasionaly lays with it while watching tv. My Husband and my Son's Nanny are suggesting that we all need to ween him completely off the bankie soon. They say he is getting too old for it. I say he still a toddler, and my last baby, and that he should have it as long as it does not take over his daily activities. Please give your advice. I want what is best for my Son.
No don't ween him, it will only help him with his social emotional development. He should be allowed to sleep with it for as long as he wants. My 6 year old still sleeps with hers every night.
