hello
we have a 7 year old african american adopted son with hyper sensitivity on his scalp. His hair has a very, very tight nap and it is nearly impossible to cut his hair. It is impossible to cut it without a major show down and extensive tantrums. We can not go to a barber shop any more because he starts the tantrum before the barber touches his scalp. My husband tries to shave his hair so that we have some weeks in between cutting but it is a battle each and every time with a prolonged period of recovery after the tantrum. His head is so sensitive he can't stand to pick or brush his hair. Help! does anyone have any advice for us on how to make this less traumatic on the whole family?
