My son is in Year 6 and has a statement of SEN due to physical problems. He is at a mainstream school however. Unfortunately over the past 2 months his behaviour at school has become extremely poor. He is aggressive towards staff, screams, cries, throws pencils etc and most worryingly claims he wants to die, that no one loves him and is beginning to self harm by hitting himself across the face and attempting to put his hands round his neck. Does anyone have any suggestions as I'm at my wits end. We don't shout at him or smack him, spend time asking what is wrong etc. I believe it may be linked to his physical problems but am not really sure.
