I have a 7 yr old girl who has always been the only child of a single mom. now I am married and she is acting out and we just dont know how to get her to stop.time out doesn't work she just fights to be next to me and wont stay. Talking gets us no where she just screams at us? She only act out when it's the 3 of us? She loves her new dad and we been together for almost 2 years? she doesnt do it when its just one of us and her?
Please help!!

Don't punish her. She is doing nothing wrong and has control over her emotional impulses. Being with both of you is hard as she doesn't get to be the center any more. Try to understand her, validate her feelings and find solutions and ways to spend more 1on1 time with her.
