Settling problems at nursery

hi,

was wondering in anyone had any tips re settling my 3 year old at nursery. she has never been to nursery/playgroup before and won't let me leave the room - when i try she has a huge tantrum, her behaviour is awful and she won't do anything or go near any of the teachers or other children. have tried breaking her in gradually but she just screams the place down and knocks things over/kicks things until the staff ask me to take her away !

Re: Settling problems at nursery

They should be helping you to help her settle in, if the best they can manage in front of you is telling you to take her away then imagine what there care levels are like when your not there to see it? If she were mine I'd be looking for a new nursery.

Sounds like she's not really ready for nursery, I understand that sometimes you have no choice but to work but if you do have it, I'd stay at home with her until she's a bit older.
