My nine year old boy has just started stealing money from my purse and his fathers wallet. We don't know how too get through too him that stealing is wrong. He also lies about it. We tryed grouding him talking too him, taking his allowace away. Please if anyone has any advice for us, e-mail us back..thanks

have you tried asking him what he needs the money he is stealing for?
is it to pay a bully?
is he buying things at school?
maybe when you no what he wants the money for it may help with an answer to stopping the behaviour.my 8 yr old was doing this as well and it was to keep up with her peers who didnt have lunches but had money for food vending machines and she felt left out.
