Re: new baby plus toddler plus mother recovering from cesarean

He needs his mommy, period. Give him all the physical affection that you can!!! Thats simply it! Hopefully you are a stay at home mom. So you can provide for his physical and emotional needs. Even if you have to hold him and kiss him all day for a year straight, it is worth it. Because someday you will look back and regret that you did'nt, if you don't. Kids need their parents, and little ones NEED their mommies, not stuff.

Re: Re: new baby plus toddler plus mother recovering from cesarean

I can sort of relate. While I did not have a cesarean, I had my last two babies 15 months apart. I could not carry my oldest baby and that was hard. I continued to tell her what a big girl she was and how much big girls help their mommies. I would always let her help me feed her new sister...even if it was just sitting beside me and holding the bottle. And I let her pick out the baby's clothes. Just little things to help include her and make her feel special so that sometimes being carried wasn't an issue. Good Luck! My youngest are 2 and almost 4 now and it's getting better each day!
