I have an 11 year old son who recently I discovered was in posession of a large sum of money (for an 11 year old, anyway). He first told me someone at school bought some of his music CD's, then when I asked for the other child's name, he changed his story and said he "found" the money - I can tell he is lying but can't seem to get the truth from him- I have taken the money, but cannot get any answers- any suggestions?

I would also talk to the police, they might offer to show your him what happens to people caught stealing like finger printing, mug shots etc. This type of educative process might scare him enough to stop.
