birthday presents

Hi

I'm wondering how parents feel about their children's mount of birthday presents? And do we worry about how much do they appreciate (or spoil with) material?

If most of the toys are going to the chairity at the end, what are the alternitive to our children's party invitation? 'No toys please!' seems to be too blunt.

Re: birthday presents

I think you should just continue to contribute the new in box toys to charity. They will be given to kids who would adore them!! it's not fair to your child or their guest to ask for no toys - because when the children usually pick the gift - not the parent. Just continue to donate what they don't want and keep what they do. We do that a lot around here. Be grateful that they do have what they have. It does not spoil them to have things....
