I am trying to find out all I can about the Foster family living in Rhode Island. Who they are and where they came from, ect.
The people that would know have passed on now.
All that I have been able to find out from my grandmother is what I will list below.
My name is Michael Paul Foster. I am the son of Raymond Robert Foster Sr., his Father was William Wallace Foster. William Wallace was born on March 23,1917. His father was Amos Othniel Foster who was married to Emma (Browning) Foster.
My father Raymond Robert has a brother John dob 9-18-1939, sister Ruth Foster dob 9-6-1941, baby boy (still born), brother Amos Foster dob 8-28-1952, and a final brother, William Wallace Foster Jr. dob 4-29-1956, My grandfather William Wallace Foster Sr. died 1-5-1983, his brother Robert Foster is deceased however it is unclear as to when, his sister Ruth Foster died at age 21 after a fall from a cherry tree which broke her hip. William Wallace also had two brothers who died @ approx. 18 months from complications from the flu. William Wallace's Father Amos Othniel Foster married Wife Emma (Browning) Foster, he had brothers Henry, Edward, Harold, and a sister Ruth.
Any info that you might have would be greatly appreciated.

I believe your line descends from Christopher Foster who immigrated to Mass colony around 1635 aboard the abilgal. A participant at the Fosterdna Project just matched markers for Most Recent Common Ancestor with me . My research show his line is close to yours. !!!!!!

I am a Foster from the province of New Brunswick. I am doing some research on my tree. As of now i have some info back to 1826 my ggggrandfather John Foster married a Catherine Armstrong here in april 1826.

During the late 1800s the ship building industry in NB
ended and some of my relatives moved to RI and married
into the kirk and Snider families although there were some males who carride the family name, please let me know if this is of any help to you and perhaps
