dishwasher helper

hi

does anyone else have a "little helper" at home who insists on helping you load and unload the dishwasher?

if you do, what gadgets or tips have you found that help?

do you have pets that do the same thing?

currently i have to put my son in his highchair to keep him away from the dishwasher, but its so sad cos he is just trying to help

thanks

Re: dishwasher helper

My son does the same thing! I always make sure to put a big plastic spoon or something that he can take out and "put away" He usualy ends up just banging on the counters or cupboars with it. It's soft and wont hurt anything, so I just let him have at it. When he got older I started giving him a cheap-o pie tin and let him play the drums. It's lound and annoying, but better than him trying to get the knives or glasses out. Good luck!!
