Dissidence, a Franklin punk rock band is currently auditioning for a new front man. We play a style of music that is punk but has a metal slant to it. We play fast, like to include technical dual guitar solo’s pretty much in every song. We had some success with our last singer but recently we parted ways because of a lack of commitment on his part. We put our music first and want someone that feels the same way. We currently have 17 songs some with lyrics we wrote and some with lyrics our last singer wrote. We are looking for someone with a sound similar to Fat Mike with NOFX. Someone that can sing but can also be aggressive. Our influences vary but we like the West Coast punk sound. We have the music side together and want to complete that with someone that is good with lyrics and has the image and stage presence to take this band to the next level. We know what it takes and continue to search for the right person. We have management offers, touring offers and have a van and trailer just waiting to start the process. We know there is someone out there that fits this category and we do not want to settle for something less. We range in ages 19-21, so someone in the 18-24 age category would be best. We like to have fun, no big egos but just want to play music for a living. If you or someone you know falls in this category let us know. I know we have posted a few times lately and had some interest but it seems no one seems to share our enthusiasm or comes unprepared. Not sure what it is but we will continue to search for the right person. We are presently looking to do the Zerofest II Festival (3 days of kick ass music on the river in downtown Louisville) in October and really want to get someone up to speed quickly to play that festival.
