LOGGER'S FORUM

The FWSN Logger's Forum is an online message board that provides BC Forest Industry workers a place to post and exchange messages. Any information, thoughts, opinions, and observations on what is happening to fallers in the BC forest industry can be beneficial.

This forum is solely for the communication of workplace and workplace related health and safety-related issues. Any comments deemed by the FWSN as demeaning or derogatory, discriminatory or potentially libelous will be removed when detected by the FWSN.

Think it... now say it! And your posting will appear on this forum. You may also e-mail an individual who does a posting and pursue your own direct communication with that person, outside of this forum.

Menzies bay faller

as a former coastal faller who started back in the 60's, I'm glad to see this Forest Workers Safty Network is available for the younger workers of today.
They should sign up and start networking. we fought in the IWA for the 6 1/2 hour day in 1972, took a 4 month strike to do it. now I hear stories that the 6 1/2 hour day has gone out the window in some non-union operatons. we are still killing fallers and the more safety standards decline and fallers are pushed the worse it will get...so fallers, hook up with the new internet idea.....congrats to the steelworkers for giving the lead in a new way.
