Max levels?
What do you guys think is the max level you can get to in the LD? What about the HW? I'm playing my second evil game, and I want to go through the last two chapters quickly. I figure if I can get close to the max possible level in LD(leveling right near the final boss), I can go through the HW pretty quickly, and if I do the same in the HW(agian leveling near the final boss), Then I won't have to level at ALL for the annoyance of a devipuss, and hopefully level very little for the faerie theif. Comments? Suggestions? Answeres to my questions? xD Thanks, ~Digi~ |

LD? 42-43 I think* Though I dunno why you'd want to...the experience you get stinks! I doubt you can avoid levelling in the last 2 chapts. Why do you need to hunt around Esophagor when y'd b doing some serious levelg before fighting e 4 faeries!? Typically, I zip thru Chapt 4, start huntg (L42) near the end of the cave to the end of HFNHH(L48). At that point you will be seriously overlevelled for the 4 faeries. Defeat 4 faeries & you can defeat esophagor easily using the level you have at the faeries. You can shift the levelling you have left off from the esophagor + later the devilpuss bits to faerieland & underclouds before cumu (L48 to L54). The advantage of the overlevelling only serves to make fightg slightly easier in cumu. But even if you don't hunt in cumulonimbus and faerie city, the monsters will still find you and you'll gain levels reluctantly. Why do you dislike cumu? The monsters are abundant, you can hunt while you're threadg yr way thru the maze and walk quickly thru areas in straight lines by refreshing rapidly. I like that place! As I have mentioned in the suggested level page, you can avoid hunting from the point bionic cybunnies appear. You DO NOT have to hunt before faerie thief(s). The monsters hunt you down However, if you prefer to do levelling in bulk rather than partial hunting while moving and don't mind being underlevelled, you can shift the bulk of the levelg in faerie city to faerie palace level 2. At tt time, the characters'd have fulfilld the basic exp pts and some of their equipments are down pat. Levelling intensively while you are travelling up/down/back/forth the two towers, east wing is pretty easy then you face the last boss. |

You have to understand, I plan to be overleveled for the faeries simply by being a slightly higher level at the end of the LD, and continually hunting througout the HW. By the time I get to the faeries my level should not be an issues(it never has in all the times I've played the game. I kind of like the faeries actually, there rather fun to fight. :P) At the end of the HW, I'll overlevel to at least 52-53 before fighting the esophagor. That way I'll be sufficently leveled by mid-way through the final act to not have to deal with any of the focusing creatures. (I've always hated cumulonimbus, it takes forever to go through, AND you generaly have to hunt through it!) I ended up leaving the LD at level 40, but I still plan to overlevel(I'm about half-way to 42, and still on the counts first floor). |

I don't see why you would want to be overlevelled; you get so little experience for each battle it's not worth it. For example, I fought the faeries at lvl 44 in evil and I was fine. I thought about levelling up to 46-48, but I didn't have the patience. Boss battles aren't fun unless they're challenging too... |

Digi-it would be faster just training to the suggested boss level then actually training a lot at one sitting.. not to mention the most boring! |

i have to agree with digi. i'm an over-leveller. i like to be safe rather than sorry. my characters never die and the fight with the monsters is more level. as for experience points i already have them and don't need them so what's the point? if i have enough levels, i just walk. :) |

Highest possible on Meridell: 26; recommended: 20 TM: 37; 30 LD: 47; 40 HW: 57; 50 The last levels would be hard to reach because the monsters would give only 10 xp per battle. |
