Suggestions/ Feedback? Post here
Eh, I'm telling you in advance that I don't wish to write a guide. Never needed one while I was playing NQ2.. hehe..but if you feel like writing one, I'd be happy to publish it. Half the fun in this game is to discover things for yourself & I thought my summary was detailed enough? |

Thank you for your help on Ch5. Yours is the only site I've found with maps after Palace Level 2. I was completely lost till I found your site. Now I've finished the game

Could you give suggestions to what level it is good to be at before fighting each boss?....maybe even include evil and insane mode too? Thanks,

Evil = 1 level higher than normal difficultie InSaNe = 2-3 levels higher than normal difficutie You'd probably have trouble with Terask II because you should be 61/62/63 and you can only go to 60! |

Hmm, I agree with snooper on the +1 level for evil & +2 levels for insane but I usually just level up 2 levels between each boss as a thumb of rule. I believe that I did put a list of suggested levels for fighting bosses in the summary. However, they are an 'average' of the levels that people (in NQ2 neoboards) have comfortably used to fight the bosses. Personally I believe that it is also dependent on the skills you have chosen. If you are confident of winning go ahead and be underleveled (Thats what I did for normal & evil mode). On insane mode, I would prefer not to die and restart the game wouldn't you? |

Well this isn't much of a question but I just wanted to know why it's so difficult to flee fights on insane mode? I made it over half way through the Haunted Woods when I died!! I got stuck in a fight that it wouldn't let me flee from....which, in turn, killed my entire party. I was around level 40 and starting to heal when I got attacked again and died. I am so discouraged that I don't know when I'll play again. I've played this game so much I see these little creatures in my sleep and want to Obliterate them or I find myself looking for my Celestial Hammer...lol!! Thanks for listening.

Were you referring to fleeing from monsters, not boss? Its so hard to flee if you are underleveled. Thats probably the case at L40, halfway in Haunted Woods. If you want to flee, try to flee early. If 2 of your members are dead, there is a high chance of your party getting wiped out if you are unable to flee. Why? Unsuccessful flight means your party will sit out an entire round in the fight, leaving the enemies with more turns to attack you. Hence the team might be killed before you even get another turn to flee. One interesting observation: If I successfully flee from The Faeries the first time, I won't be lucky if I try to escape during my 2nd try. So, be careful. If you fled from the fight the first time, you would want to win at the second try. If you are overleveled, fleeing is no problem. In fact I encourage it. Last Note: You CANNOT flee from Terask II. J, Good Luck for your next try at insane. |

Yes, it was just regular monsters that killed me, not a boss. I was actually making my way back to the brain tree when I died. Velm had already been taken out and I kinda figured I wouldn't make it but had to try. I was able to flee most of the fights but not the last one. I was attacked by 4 of them and was already down a player(velm). So your saying I need to be at a higher level than I was at that point in the game? - like maybe level 45-50? I'm sure I'll be trying again, but it it sucks to make it that far and lose. Is there anything else I should know about this insane level? You have really been helpful...thanks!!

hi J, L45-50 sounds fine to me if your level in insane mode is >47. Wah! I never encountered any monsters travelling back to Augur Faunt (to resurrect dead) behind the haunted house using the side gates the five times I played it. Umm, you didn't go into the house, did you? |

Ouch...I'm just surprised that Velm can die, before the faeries. I managed fine in haunted house even at L43 so L45 shouldn't be a problem. Guess you got too caught up in the game that you forgot to keep track of their health, must have been the lupe with the crit hit. Heal before you are in the 150+hp region.Invest in some resurrect potions, the cheap low level ones that you can buy at discounted prices will do. you never know when you might need them. ps: I think you have resurrect in your inventory but was reluctant to use them since you're so close to Brain tree right? Use Healing potions on the remaining members before fighting & heal conservatively during the fight since its 3 against 4. But then these are all hindsight...*sigh* |

Poor Velm was gone before I got halfway through the house. I was close to Brain Tree but just couldn't make it. I had no resurect potions with me at that time...stupid me. I just need to watch more closely and heal more often(or at least stay above a certain hp level). I would have been ok but it wouldn't let me flee the fight I was in. I will certainly invest in a few resurect potions this time. I've found the courage to start again and will certainly be more cautious this time. I'm also going to allocate my skill points a little differently this time too. Oh, have another question...are you finding it difficult to gain more gold on the insane mode than the other 2? I seem to have had more gold on the normal and evil modes....or is it just me?

Yup, the gold gets less as you move from norm-evil-insane. But then you can save quite a bit while levelling up in earlier chapters where there are free rest. The adventurer's encampment is a particular fav of mine. Usually I run through Chapt 2 quickly to the encampment and level up 5 levels before moving to Lost caves. Alternatively, hunt outside the monster-free zones and heal by walking around inside but thats more time consuming. The most value-for-money resurrect potions are the discounted living potions (40%) you can buy in Happy Valley. After chapter 2, all resurrect potions cost 1000 gold and above. Make sure you have a few in your inventory, just in case... |

Thanks M. I've already restarted insane and will be extremely careful this time. I'm going to take your advise about leveling around the places that let me rest for free and I'll make sure I have plenty of resurect potions too! I'll keep you posted on the progress. Thanks again!!

Guide to beat terask easier another way: Always Use Dmg Potions when his hp is 1000! Never Use The Celestial Hammer. (They Never work!) Never Let Velm Attack. (Keep on letting him heal your group!) Always Let Rohane Use Normal Attacking! Always Let Mipsy Throw Dmg, Slowing or haste potions! Be Sure all your attack is over 50! Must be at the max level! (MAX: Lv 60) Never Click Flee On Him! Never Use Haste Potions On Him! Always Do Something To Stop Terask II From Attacking. |

Hello Meduzita, Check the skills section:http://geocities.com/neoquest_2/skills.html to find out more. Then again, it boils down to yr personal preferences when it comes to skills like group heal/heal, battle taunt. You have played nq2 so I'm sure you have an inkling of what skills u like to retain this time round. Onwards fellow! |

Your site is wonderful. I visit for maps, and they're excellent. I've gotten to use your site more now, because one of the two other sites I use shut down, and the other doesn't have enough maps. Keep up the good work!

Well, I would like to say this is one awesome summary that you have created. I love it so much. It helps alot faster to play the nq2 then my first time when I was trying to search the places everywhere without a guide or walkthrough. But it has its own fun, but looking at the info here, I can have more variety choices that I would know I can do in the past. I would like to know what is your neopets username, so I may add you! I've lost my old one during February this year, The neopets team said i was cheating, but I did not, But I talked to them, they said can't help just ask me be careful when I access to the web. Oh well, But with this guild, I did really well in my evil difficulty and I will be working on my insane soon, I think I can do this this time with all the info I have learnt here. I haven't got a chance to play insane before my old account was frozen, so I have to achieve everything again in this new guild, but I like it here, so yeah, and seriously wanna be your neofriend;)We can share our experience in neopets other than just nq2 too |
