Trainers in air

Hi all,
Nice to have met most of you.
Still waiting for my Trainer plane to be here.

Last week one of our friends lost his trainer plane. This is very sad news but I strongly think that Trainers should not be allowed to fly far out nor too high (exceeding 200 ft). This is only my opinion.

Thanks for all the support.

Re: Trainers in air

We have a golden rule at St Martin.., Always fly upwind. We can go downwind only for landing. On the day he lost his trainer, the wind was more than 75Km/ and he was flying downwind with a small engine 46.
There also the hight does not make any difference so far you are upwind and that you can see how your plane reacts, there is no problem. You can even go up to the clouds. Normaly the Radio range limit is more than 3-4 kms. BUT CAN YOU SEE YOUR PLANE AT THAT DISTANCE !

Re: Trainers in air

Hi Nuvin...
its not easy to loose or crash a plane... but if you follow closely the advices of your Montor (Cyril), you will be able to fly safely.

Re: Trainers in air

you can fly your model anywhere you want at st.martin except in downwind (because of electric cables) and over the parking(because of security). The hight of the model doesn't affect the range of your transmiter
