Sounddiver, pc, patch editor, ensoniq inquiries
Hello, I recently found the Ensoniq Sq-r plus section of deep synthesis, and noticed that one of the creators of the web site had made a patch editor for it that runs on sounddiver. I then found out that sounddiver is now owned and supported by apple but not sold anymore (i use pc). My first thought was that it might be possible to still obtain a pc version of sounddiver on the internet somehow, which now seems unlikely. I just purchased a battery for my ensoniq and have never used it, nor do i have much experience with sound modules or synths. The idea of editing patches on software connected to the ensoniq appeals to me and makes me think i'll utilize it a lot quicker. So my thought now is that perhaps there's a newer patch editor/librarian software for pc that would communicate with my sq-r plus? I understand that the editor i found on this site was an application within sounddiver, but is there a software that would do the basics without my having to know how to create a specialized application? Well, hopefully someone might be able to help on this, i would have contacted this web site itself but there's no contact info. |

Hi, jared! There's a PC editor for SQ series called KSEdit. Please search the website, and I hope it works. |
