Hi It is a little more complicated than just adding wire. There should be coax cable from the unit to the antenna. Winding wire around the fiberglass also makes an inductor, making it appear many times longer than the wavelength. You can try it and it may work or may not. Remember that the transmitter is fcc approved for very low power use and that is why is comes with just a wire antenna hanging out the back. Any interference with broadcast fm stations could land you in trouble. |
