The spacing on the quad can vary greatly without changing the gain. What does change alot is the impedance. Since the directors are not really in line with the driven I think the reflector would have more effect. If possible, you could even design the reflector to slide forward and back to adjust the match. If you have not tried it, download 'mmana' from the web and model your idea. Mmana is as good as some of the expensive commercial programs I use. Only at 440 and above does a few percent error start to creep in. Al |
