James Foster and Mary Hoagland were married 3 Dec 1808 in Somerset Co., New Jersey, (she was listed as Polly on the marriage record), and they had sons; (1) William Hoagland, b. 23 Feb 1809 in Readington, Hunderdon Co., NJ and d. 19 May 1909 in North Abington, Luzerne Co, Pennsylvania: (2)Richard, b 19 Jun 1814 in Raritan, Somerset Co., NJ, and died aft 1880 South Caanan, Wayne, Pennsylvania (3) Peter Striker Hoagland, b. 5 NOv 1815 in Rariton, Somerset Co., NJ d. aft 1880 of Gibson, Susquehannah, Pennsylvania; (4) Nathaniel Foster, b. 14 Jun 1818 in Rariton, Somerset Co, New Jersey (nothing further), and (5) Martha Foster b. abt 1826 in New Jersey. Based on this info, I don't think James and Martha were the parents of your Nathaniel (b. 1800). Hopefully, however, we can share further information that might be mutually beneficial. Thanks
Hello,
I came upon this site looking for information on Richard Foster, son of James Foster and Mary Hoagland. This was great information for us because we knew the day Richard Foster was born and the name of the mother and father but that's it. I know this is the James Foster and Mary Hoagland we were looking for based on the birth date of Richard Foster and the location of where he was born.
M Watson, can you give me any other information on James Foster and/or Mary Hoagland AKA Polly Hoagland. Feel free to contact me if you have any information on them.
Thank you,
Seth
